The Health and
Economic Impact of
Our Food System

Dr. Hyman highlights the startling economic burden of chronic disease driven by Big Food’s ultraprocessed diet that kills 11 million people every year and makes 60 percent of Americans sick with a chronic disease. Food Fix maps out a new food system that can improve public health and save trillions of dollars every year.

Saving Our Environment & Climate

Our food system—how we grow, produce, and waste food—is the number one cause of climate change and the biggest driver of the loss of our soil, water resources, biodiversity, including 90% of our edible plant species, 50% of our livestock species, and 75% of our pollinators. Food Fix highlights the the path to transform our agricultural system from an extractive, destructive system to a regenerative system that produces food that heals humans and the environment, while reversing climate change.

Challenging Politics, Social Injustice, & Information Wars

The food industry is part of the story of structural violence that hurts minorities, the poor, and the food insecure. Food Fix sheds light on this problem as well as the role of distorted nutritional science, corrupt nutrition research and lobbyists, front groups, and the overall impact on our national policies and what needs to be done to fix all of these issues.
